How a Crown Gets Made
- Preparing the toothThe damaged tooth is reshaped to make room for the crown, and an impression or digital scan is taken.
- Temporary crownA temporary is placed while your permanent crown is custom-made, usually by a dental lab.
- Fitting the permanent crownAt your second visit, the permanent crown is checked for fit and bite, then cemented in place.
- AdjustmentsIf anything feels off with your bite, tell us at that visit — small adjustments are normal and easy to make before you leave.
